Snow in the Morning and Sun in the Afternoon

We received 3 inches of heavy snow overnight on top and 16 inches in the past 6 days. The fog was pretty thick early in the day, especially up high. The visibility was low, but the new snow felt nice under my skis. The fog rolled out and the blue skies made an appearance in the afternoon. Tomorrow’s forecast is calling for a mix of snow and rain at the base with a high of 37 degrees. Snow at higher elevations, 2 to 4 inches of accumulation possible, breezy with a high of 30 degrees. Tomorrow we plan to have top-to-bottom skiing and riding on all 3 mountains with 6 lifts operating, including Madonna I. We have 76 out of 78 trails open with terrain for all ability levels. 32 trails will be groomed for tomorrow, including Drifter, Snow Snake, Thomke’s, Ruthie’s, Log Jam, Smugglers’ Alley, Snake Bite, and the skier’s right on Upper FIS for a total of 189 acres of freshly groomed terrain. Surface conditions are machine groomed and variable with average base depths of 12 to 52 inches.
